2) Poha

Ingredients Required:
  • Poha (Flattened Rice)
  • Peanuts
  • Coriander
  • Green Chillies

Step By Step Making of Poha:

Step 1: Wash Poha under running water and strain it properly.

Step 2: Place kadhai on the the gas stove and some oil and heat it on medium-high flame

Step 3: Now, saute the peanuts in oil well and remove them from kadhai.

Step 4: Add mustard seeds and when they spatter add cumin seeds, green chillies, curry leaves and sizzle them well.

Step 5: Add freshly chopped onions into it saute them until they turn translucent.

Step 6: Now add turmeric powder, salt and strained poha into it and mix gently until poha turns yellow.  

Step 7: Serve hot on a plate and garnish it with freshly chopped coriander leaves and squeeze a few drops of lemon oil on it.

2) Akki Roti

Akki roti is a traditional dish of Karnataka, India. It is made by soaking a type of rice called (akkalu) in water, grinding it to a paste with water and salt, adding vegetables like peas and carrots to the mixture, forming the dough into balls, and then flattening them out into thin disks or banana leaves. After that it is cooked on tawa or griddle. And served hot with coconut chutney.

Ingredients Required:

  • Rice Flour
  • Onion
  • Carrot
  • Coriander
  • Ginger 
  • Green Chilies
  • Cumin Seeds
  • Coconut
  • Salt
  • Oil
  • Water

Step By Step Making of Akki Roti:

Step 1 : Chop onion, carrots, coriander, ginger, green chillies and grate coconut 

Step 2: Take a bowl and add rice flour along with the chopped onion, carrots, coriander, ginger, green chiles and grated coconut, cumin, salt to taste.

Step 3: Knead the dough into soft loose by using enough water.

Step 4: Take a portion of dough and flatten it on the banana leaves oiled on the working surface (if not there than take a moist cloth and flatten the dough on it.) Make a few holes into the dough with your fingers.

Step 5: Now carefully flip over the flatten dough on the tawa which is greased with oil and pre heated  .

Step 6: Cook evenly on both sides till the roti gets golden brown  color.

Step 7: Serve hot with green coconut chutney.


3) Peanut Laddu

Peanut Laddu is the easiest recipe in this list and is the most favorite dish among the Indians. 

It is traditionally made from the mixture of peanuts and jaggery.

  • Peanuts
  • Jaggery/Sugar
  • Oil
  • Ghee

 

Step By Step Making of Peanut Laddu:

Step 1: Roast the peanuts on the pan properly.

Step 2: Grind them properly into the mixer in coarse form.

Step 3: Now, heat up the frying pan and add a few tablespoons of oil into it along with the crushed peanuts.

Step 4: Along with the crushed peanuts, add jaggery powder or sugar powder and mix well on medium flame.

Step 5: Rub a small amount of ghee on your palm and roll the mixture in small laddu when the mixture is cooled to room temperature.


Now it's ready to serve or else you can store airtight food containers as well.
